1 Way to Handle Blogging Crises Intelligently and Effectively

Meet Yoda.

He doesn’t seem to be phased by blogging crises.

I betcha he worries not about the White Screen of Death. No way would he fret about spammers or scammers trying to flood his blog.

Yoda the Thai French Bulldog plays a prominent role in today’s Facebook Broadcast. Sometimes it feels fun to break things up some for a playful interlude. We love learning blogging tips but enjoy some levity from a funny dog brimming with character.

Watch the video:

I ran into a mini crises when me and my wife arrived to Chiang Mai 3 days ago.

Our Chromebooks could not catch the WiFi signal.

After trouble shooting the problem for 30 minutes one of the homeowners tried turning off the battery that provides 24-7 power in case they cut electricity in this quiet Thai village, as they sometimes do.

Problem solved.

Crisis averted.

But we all had to remain calm, pretty detached and overall chill to test a variety of solutions before finding the one that did the trick.

How did we stay calm?

We Cleared Fears

I felt calm during the process, as did my wife.

Even though a tiny fear or 2 arose concerning how we’d access the internet over this 7 week house sit I also chilled pretty quickly.

Feeling the little fear pangs – versus fighting or resisting these energies – was the way to allow in potential solutions.

Most bloggers slam into long term crises because they fight or try to bury fears versus feeling these energies. Fighting fear makes fear grow. Ignoring fear makes fear grow. Breathing deeply, relaxing and embracing fear allows fear to dissolve.

By clearing fears you feel calm and poised, allowing solutions to find you.

How to Clear Fear

Breathe deeply.

Relax.

Breathing deeply brings you back to the moment. Being in the moment helps you feel fear if fear arises. In most cases, fear does arise.

However unpleasant, feeling the fears clears the fears, then you allow ideas to pop up in your mind.

Ideas Popping Up

I slowly tested out a few ideas to handle the blogging crises.

Each idea flowed to me because I thought straight, clearing my mind of anxiety.

I:

  • Googled a few terms related to Chromebooks not being able to access internet connections
  • followed a few practical steps to solve the issue

Nothing worked for me or Kelli. But we remained calm.

Eventually one homeowner tried out the battery idea. After turning it off and on, voila! We found solution.

The alleged crises was no big deal.

We’ve had access to a 5G connection until a few minutes before I filmed the Facebook Live Broadcast you see above.

Re-Crises?

Neither of us could access the internet again this morning. The home connection vanished.

We forgot the strategy that worked 3 days prior so tested a few ideas.

After 20 minutes I tried turning the battery off and on.

Bingo!

Now I know what to do if the internet connection vanishes.

2 time’s the charm, eh?

Again, we were calm, confident, chill and in the moment this morning. Perfect way to solve any blogging crises, independent of the nature of the fire you need to put out.

This is a one size fits all approach because taking a deep breath and being present is the simple way to be with fears that seem to fan flames under crises. Fear is actually oxygen to a crises fire, feeding the flames. If you feel and clear the fear the crises becomes a simple opportunity to solve through patient persistence.
