Canva 2.0 — March 1 from noon to 1 p.m.
Lizzie Kirby will present the second part of a workshop on marketing using Canva at the Economic Development Alliance Building. Topics will include design tops and strategies to take marketing to the next level. Participants can benefit even if they did not attend the first part of the workshop.
Beginning Fly Tying Workshop — March 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Learn the basics of fly fishing skills and equipment at this free class at the Kirksville Missouri Department of Conservation Office. Anyone age 10 and over is invited to register, although participants younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Observatory Open House — March 6 and 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
See the stars at an open house at the Truman State University observatory. It can be colder than you expect, so wear warm clothes. In the case of inclement weather, the alternative date is the following day at the same time.
Irish Road Bowling — March 16 from noon to 5 p.m.
Participate in the traditional Irish sport of outdoor bowling at Fort Chariton.
St. Patrick’s Day Run and Parade — March 17 from noon to 12:30 p.m.
St. Patrick’s Day festivities start with a 5 kilometer race benefitting the North Missouri Association for Citizens with Disabilities at noon, starting at the DuKum Inn. That will be followed at a parade at 1 p.m.
Mythology at the Planetarium — March 18 and 25
In this event at Truman State University’s Del and Norma Robison Planetarium, staff will highlight the origins of the names of stars and constellations and discuss the history and myths behind them.
Havana Cuba All-Stars — March 21 from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
The Havana Cuba All-Stars tour brings together some of Cuba’s greatest musicians and dancers to showcase a wide variety of contemporary Cuban beats. The event is part of Truman State University’s Kohlenburg Lyceum series and will take place at the Baldwin Auditorium.
The Odd Couple — March 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 from 7-9 p.m.
A Curtain Call Theater production of the Broadway hit comedy, which follows two men who become ill-suited roommates when their marriages end.
Spring Arts and Crafts Fair — March 29 and 30
Crafters, artists and artisans will showcase their products in this event at William Matthew Middle School.
Dueling Pianos — March 20 from 7-11 p.m.
This interactive musical event at the White Oaks Barn will feature two pianists taking requests “from 1940s to Top 40, boy bands to girl bands, country to rock and roll, sock hop to hip hop, Rat Pack to Tupac, and everything in between.” The event is sponsored by the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce.
ATSU Wellness Run — March 30 from 9-11 a.m.
Featuring a 5 kilometer run and 2 kilometer walk, this event is sponsored by A.T. Still University and will begin at 9 a.m. at the Take Root Cafe.
Family Health Fair — March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon
A.T. Still University medical and dental students will offer free health screenings to Kirksville residents of all ages at Ray Miller Elementary School.
