JACK Winery, created by two Major League baseball players and teammates, takes a swing and hits a home run with its 2016 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc. Current MLB player, Chris Iannetta and Vernon Wells, who is now retired, teamed up together for JACK Winery which uses the initials of their children–Jayce, Ashlyn, Christian and Kylie–and is a tribute to their shared passion for family.

With their 2016 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc or other wines in your hand, Iannetta and Wells believe the simple joy of conversation is one of life’s greatest gifts. Next year, they are changing the name of the wine to “Proprietary White Wine” due to the nature of its aging and winemaking process.

What makes this Sauvignon Blanc special is that the wine is aged in oak barrels and not in the standard stainless steel giving it a more robust flavor. This Sauvignon Blanc is the remarkably appealing culmination of pineapple and spicy pear, with floral notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom. Crack open a bottle among friends or family and share in the memories.

Specifically, the Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in neutral French oak barrels: and aged for six months before bottling. What you will notice as you enjoy every sip is that your palate is greeted with a creamy entry, nice mouthwatering assets and a crisp, clean finish.

From their new estate vineyard in Napa’s Atlas Peak, Iannetta and Wells are gearing up for a busy season of on the road showing off JACK wines at some of the country’s top food/wine festivals. JACK Winery is considered a small, premium label which has drawn rave reviews since production.

“We are not looking to create a $10-15 bottle of wine that can be massed produced and found in every store. We are making bottles that people can share at their own dinner table with their closest family and friends. We want people to appreciate a really fine bottle of wine,” Iannetta said.

Overall, it was a great experience sharing wine from JACK Winery. Again, what did you think I got right and what do you think I said wrong? Let us know in the comments section.
