9 Invaluable Digital Marketing Terms Every Blogger Should Know

Look at the featured image guys.

Alonzo Pichardo just released our latest chat.

You can listen to it here:

The podcast episode registered 1,000 listens in 1 hour.

What does it take to register 1,000 listens in 1 hour? 10 years of diligent service on Alonzo’s part.

What did it take for an internet marketing legend of Alonzo’s stature to ask me to be a regular guest on his podcast? 10 years of diligent service on my part. He ain’t asking a slouch onto his show. Not tooting my horn guys, but I’ve developed a pretty rounded skill set in terms of writing and presenting during the past 3,650 days.

So collectively, 20 years (AP’s and RB’s online careers) went into him asking me to appear on his show, and the volume of listens he’s racking up on the podcast.

5 minutes after the podcast chat went live I noted my latest post went live on Positively Positive:

How to Free Yourself of the Comparison Curse

After 10 years of practicing my writing and growing my friend network, the editor from this 2,500,000 member community asked me to be a regular contributor. Positively Positive sports contributors like world famous celebrities Dr. Andrew Weil, Seth Godin, Jack Canfield, Don Miguel Ruiz, Mark Cuban, Marie Forleo and…..Ryan Biddulph.

As you may imagine guys; it is highly difficult to land a regular contributor gig on PP. The famous celebs on this list and guys on the come up like me spent 10, 20, 30 years or more rendering generous service. Few human beings do this which is why it seems difficult to land a spot on this iconic site.

The truth about blogging is this: ya gotta work for years of your life, resisting the urge to get rich quick, to cash in quickly and to take the easy route, if you want to become a highly successful blogger.

The Dead On Truth About Blogging

Becoming a highly successful blogger takes years of diligent, steady, patient, generous practice and service.

No way around this one guys.

Liars promise stunning blogging success in 3 months or less but to create something lasting and meaningful you are just cutting your blogging teeth in the 3 month time frame.

You cannot panic and ditch a proven blogging strategy after working diligently for 6 months and seeing no blogging profits. That’s not hard work; that’s panicking, and quitting. You will never get 1,000 podcast listens in 20 minutes or a contributor gig alongside world famous icons if you quit on blogging after 2 months, 6 months or 2 years. Everybody on the Positively Positively contributor list spent 5, 10, 20 years or more working, mastering their craft, honing their skills to shine so brightly that they HAD TO be noticed.

Blogging is so much fun guys. Blogging is freeing. Blogging also requires year’s worth of smart, generous, consistent work.

Mark Cuban is a billionaire and fellow Pos Pos contributor. Do you think he began his business career trying to make millions in 3 months? Of course not. He worked intelligently and generously for decades. Now he owns an NBA franchise.

Do you think Alonzo Pichardo wanted to get rich in 6 months after beginning his online career 10 years ago? Nope. He spent the first 6 months of his online career educating himself, learning how to build an online business with integrity and generosity.

Why do you think all these pros are SO good at what they do? They understand the truth of life: succeeding in any niche requires years of study, practice, creating and connecting.

This is the dead on truth of blogging.

Fun and freedom await you through the medium of blogging but you need to work for years to make your dreams come true.

Most bloggers take 30 day challenges.

I am on a 3,650 day challenge. 10 years of blogging.

This is the commitment it takes to live a life of fun and freedom through blogging.
