Marian M. Seo, 86, of Lincoln Street, Hazleton, died Friday morning at her home.
Born in Columbia, S.C., on Oct. 24, 1932, she was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Hazleton.
Following high school graduation in South Carolina, she worked as a stenographer at Fort Jackson, S.C. After moving to the area, Marian was employed for several years as a welder by Thorn Caging in Hazleton.
She loved flowers and was a member of the Hazleton Garden Club. There she was recording secretary, served as a past president and worked on articles of publicity for the club. She was also an active member of her church, volunteering for various church functions as well as being a member of the Altar Guild.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Louis V. Seo; son, Tony Seo and his wife, Johanna, Palmerton; daughter, Kathy Perchak and her husband, Joe, Hazleton; daughter, Debra Seo, Hazleton; son, Donald Seo and his wife, Elizabeth, New Mexico; sister, Ruby Ford, Columbia, S.C.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to gather in Christ Lutheran Church, 210 W. Green St., Hazleton, for a funeral service that will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in the St. Johns Lutheran and UCC Cemetery, St. Johns.
Friends may call at Hazle Chapel of Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 426 W. Broad St., Hazleton, on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations to Christ Lutheran Church, 210 W. Green St., Hazleton, PA 18201, are welcomed by the family.
