April showers bring May … events! Well, that certainly seems to be the case at the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce.
On Wednesday, May 1, we will host our annual Women In Business Luncheon at The Columns Banquet Center at 2221 Transit Road in Elma.
This year’s event will have a women-owned business theme and will feature a variety of vendor tables hosted by women-owned and managed businesses that are members of the Chamber of Commerce. The event will also feature a large basket auction and a delicious lunch for all of our attendees. Please note that reservations for this event are now closed.
On Friday, May 10, the Chamber will host its first Unyts Blood Drive and Chamber Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the West Seneca Community Center and Library, 1300 Union Road. The event is free and open to the public, and we are still seeking whole blood or double red cell donors. To schedule a donation, visit www.unytsblooddonor.org/index.cfm?group=op&step=2&opid=15468.
Also during this event, several Chamber members representing health-related businesses will host information tables. We hope you’ll stop by for a visit. And, blood donors who show their bandage at the Spot Coffee location within the Community Center after donating will receive a free large coffee.
And on Tuesday, May 21, our third GEICO Power Lunch Series event will feature Jeff Surdej, owner of Surdej Web Solutions, a professional website design and development company. Surdej will offer tips on search engine optimization (SEO) and will discuss the importance of ensuring that your website is American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant.
This event will take place in the large meeting room within the Community Center and Library, and a light lunch will be provided. Doors open at 11:45 a.m. While the event is free and open to the public, seating is limited and reservations are required and can be made by calling 674-4900. Finally, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, Chamber member Hunt Real Estate will host a real estate mixer in their Southgate Plaza office at 1110 Union Road. Guests will hear from Hunt experts about the real estate process while enjoying drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Call Linda at 809-8431 to RSVP.
To be part of the chamber, call at 674-4900 or email [email protected].
