To really rub salt in the wound, it’s an eight-year-old boy named Ryan who reviews toys on camera.

According to the ONS, the average salary in the UK this year is £29,588.

But the Ryan ToysReview channel earns its creator a staggering $22million (£17.5million) every single year through YouTube.

Doll maker PlayLikeMum has created a tool that lets you find out how long it takes YouTube stars to make your annual wage.

And it turns out Ryan can make the average British salary in just 14 hours and 48 minutes.

You can compare your own salary to YouTube stars here:

Ryan, who has only been making YouTube videos since 2015, makes just shy of £2,000 an hour, and slightly less than a dollar every single second.

It’s a staggering amount of money, but such high salaries aren’t uncommon on YouTube.

For instance, fellow YouTuber Jake Paul takes just 15 hours and 11 minutes to make an average Brit’s salary.

He rakes in around £17million a year thanks to YouTube fame.

He’s also the brother of controversial YouTuber Logan Paul – who was publicly shamed after posting a video of a suicide victim’s body – who draws in around £11.5million a year.

That’s around £1,350 every single hour.

US internet celebrity and makeup artist Jeffree Star is also extremely highly paid.

It takes Jeffree just 18 hours and six minutes to earn £29,588 – making around £27 a minute.

Just last week, YouTube revealed its YouTube Rewind video, looking back at the best bits of 2018.

But the video quickly became the most hated clip on the site, earning an incredible 10million dislikes in just a few days.

The montage clip is now more unpopular than the second most-hated video, Justin Bieber’s Baby music video.
