Ashland Craft Covers ‘You Are My Sunshine’ On The Voice Blind Audition To Join Miley Cyrus

Ashland Craft performed “You Are My Sunshine” on The Voice Blind Audition. Blake Shelton was the first to hit his button before Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine also hit their buttons.

Miley commented that she has her boots and that she also covers that song too on her tour. Miley called Blake the King of country but that they need a Queen and that is going to be her. Miley said that they could be a power team. Adam said she is such a powerful female country singer. Adam said that he would be working double time to make sure that she is not let down.

Blake said that all that he has dreamed about is becoming a country singer on the radio. Blake said that it is time to recognize the traditional sound that Ashland has. Adam said that the two of them are so wrong that they are right. Miley said that for once she is not the craziest decision.

Ashland chose Miley as her coach.

The Voice Blind Auditions Social Media Reactions

“The Voice,” which has won three Emmys for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program, returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s new season. Superstar singer, songwriter, actress and pop-culture icon Miley Cyrus returns as a coach this season with Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe-winning recording artist and Broadway star Jennifer Hudson taking a red chair alongside the show’s returning coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly.

The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, then the battle rounds, knockouts, playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.
During the blind auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not on looks. The coaches hear the artists perform, but they don’t get to see them – thanks to rotating chairs.

If a coach is impressed by the artist’s voice, he/she pushes a button to select the artist for his/her team. At this point, the coach’s chair will swivel so that he/she can face the artist he/she has selected. If more than one coach pushes his/her button, the power then shifts to the artists to choose which coach they want to work with. If no coach pushes his/her button, the artist is eliminated from the competition.
