P20 Pro owners finally get some better news after devastating Google ban

The P20 Pro was possibly one of the very best phones of 2018.

This flagship device brought with it a swathe of extras including a triple rear camera, massive battery and a fingerprint scanner which returned to the front of the phone.

With so many features the P20 Pro was tough not to recommend but in recent months it’s faced some tough times.

Firstly, it was overshadowed by the new P30 Pro which raised the bar to a new level and then came the shock news of a possible Google ban.

This block was announced after the Chinese firm was blacklisted by the US government meaning American firms could face being stopped from working with the smartphone maker.

This news sent P20 Pro resale values into meltdown with the device worth just £50 on some trade-in sites.

However, there could now be some better news on the horizon for owners of the P20 Pro with prices starting to rise again for anyone wanting to sell their phone.

Some sites are now offering over £150 which is a much-improved offer than before.

Even Musicmagpie, which was one of the services offering just £50 for the phone, has now upped this to £75 showing the trend is rising.

Along with getting more cash for your phone, the Google issues have been put on hold for another few months with Wilbur Ross, the US Commerce Secretary, announcing that Huawei would be granted another 90-day extension.

That news should help Huawei push out it’s Android Q update to more devices including the P20 Pro.

“Technical preparations and testing has already begun for over 17 devices.
