Despite that recently Slack changed the logo that reminded many people of the worst things on Planet Earth and/or ducks, Slack continues to be the most popular collaboration app (recently overtaken by Microsoft Teams, apparently).
So it might be just as important for you as it is for me to have the tools that are integrated with the app. The workflow is just so much smoother when you get all the notifications on the same dashboard!
So this is a list of tools for marketers that are not only useful but also integrated with Slack.
Awario is a social listening tool – something every marketer out there needs. The tool monitors social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Reddit), news sites, blogs, forums, and the web for mentions of your brand, product, CEO, event, or any other keyword. The tool works in real time, because sometimes it’s very important to know what people say right at the moment that they say it. Other times, it also pains to have the app open on the screen checking for new notifications constantly. This is why Awario is integrated with Slack and lets you receive notifications on Slack in real time (or daily, or weekly, depending on how you set it up).
Trello is one of the most popular tools for project management. And, there’s nothing better than the combination of Trello and Slack to get you to become more productive and organized. Well, besides the inner organizational qualities that some people just have.
Trello lets you manage Trello bots in Slack, making sure everyone involved knows how their deadlines change, the content plan for the next week and the week after that, and has zero problems with communication. They truly know it pains you to open different apps at the same time.
MailChimp is a common email-marketing tool of choice, so you might find it useful to know that it’s not only a good one but also Slack-integrated. You can monitor the campaign sendings and watch the subscribes and unsubscribes from Slack.
If you use Google Drive – Google’s cloud storage – you can agree to Slack integration within the tool. This will hugely simplify your work. You’ll be able to create a Google Drive file in Slack, share one, manage notifications, view and reply to comments on your Google Drive file.

Intercom lets you communicate with customers and leads everywhere: website, mobile, and email. Of course, the gurus of communication, they wouldn’t ignore Slack as another means of talking to customers and leads. You can chat, qualify and close right from Slack whenever someone starts a conversation with you on the website. All your chat is saved in Intercom to prevent double replies. Everything is perfectly in-sync.
SurveyMonkey is a free online survey tool. Marketers love surveys, so chances are, you use or are about to use a tool for that. Surprise-surprise, SurveyMonkey is also integrated with your favorite collaboration app. You can get quick votes from your team right in Slack, or collaborate on surveys you’ve created in SurveyMonkey. Asking questions, sharing surveys, discussing results, commenting and collaborating – all is as easy as it can be.
Zoom is a handy tool for video communications: all these video conferences, webinars, and online meetings. Their integration with Slack ensures that you can start a Zoom call with one click. You can also manage any meeting details – or, indeed, any other details in Slack.
Marketers are cool people that have fun at work. Well, that’s at least what I’d like to believe. GIFs, memes, and animations are all around us, and sometimes, we use them too. Giphy is a Slack integration that lets you generate random GIFs and keep your colleagues happy.
Back to business, HubSpot is another tool that is integrated with Slack. HubSpot is an inbound marketing platform that many marketers can’t live without. Since HubSpot and Slack are integrated, you can get HubSpot tasks, notifications, and slash commands without leaving Slack. You can choose which notifications to receive: these can be reminders, mentions, follows, document views, form submissions, and more. You can also create tasks for other people.
Another major player in the CRM market, Salesforce. It is integrated with Slack to make your workflow smooth and convenient. It lets you share account details extracted from your CRM with all of your colleagues, or anyone else using Slack; track opportunities, manage your accounts, and close deals faster without ever leaving the app.
Hopefully, these apps are enough for you to do some smooth marketing work without leaving Slack. Truth is, a lot in marketing is ridiculously time-consuming, so it’s important to minimize the time you spend doing each of the tasks. This is how you become a marketing pro, doing tons of things at the same time, having Slack and its integrations at your service.
