iPhone 11 Pre-Order And Release Dates Rumored In New Report

Apple recently sent out invitations for its September special event and iPhones are obviously going to be the main focus. The event itself will take place on September 10th and now MacRumors is citing an anonymous source within a carrier who says that those iPhones will launch on September 20th.

Based on previous rumors and Apple’s usual timescales, a September 20th release would make plenty of sense. The same source believes the phones will be available for pre-order on September 13th, which, again, fits in with previous years. Those who pre-order will then have their phones arrive the following week, which is, of course, September 20th.

Typically, Apple opens up pre-orders on the Friday following the iPhones’ announcement with sales starting the following week. That ties in with the timescales shared by MacRumors and its source so we have little reason to doubt it. MacRumors was also apparently able to get its hands on internal documents from the source’s place of work, although they weren’t shared with the public for reasons of privacy.

Apple is widely expected to announce three new iPhones on September 10th. Current speculation has an iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Max being announced, although that doesn’t appear to be guaranteed. We will, obviously, know more the closer we get to the big day.

Until then, we’ll be digging down the back of our sofas to try and scrape up the money needed come September 13th.
