Coming up with new and creative ideas to write about on your blog is one of the most common problems site owners and brands have to deal with. This is especially true when you are extremely niche-focused with your content. There are also only so many times that you can actually keep writing about something before you start repeating the process of getting bored to death of it.
The one thing to always remember when creating content for your site, is to always make sure it’s valuable to your audience and serves a purpose. With more than a billion active websites and blogs on the internet today, the last thing we all need is more content online — we simply need better content and better value.
With that being said, we can look at some of the most popular ideas for blog posts and web content, then get a little creative with how we can start using it to mesh with content, keywords and value within our own sites and audience.
In the “Ultimate List of Blog Post Ideas” infographic below from Digital Marketer, we can see some of the best ways to create content for any blog in any niche, simply by looking at different ways to format and focus site content.
Before jumping into the list, here are some of my favorite blog post topics, broken down into different value propositions.
- Useful Blog Posts – One of the best ways to create content for your site, is to try and provide value to your audience. This is often done with tutorials, guides, top lists, reference guides, question and answer posts and more.
- Humanize Your Content – When writing content for your audience, you don’t always need to act like a business or just a source for information. Humanize your content by making the conversation more personal, write about daily and life events, bring seasonal content and promotions into the your site and get creative with off-topic posts or even blog rants.
- Be Generous with Your Blog – Site owners and content creators need to continually share value to their audience, but this doesn’t always have to be right to the customer. Sometimes this can be through the promotion of other bloggers and their content as well. For example, the sharing of this infographic is a perfect example — and so are quotes or expert roundup posts.
Be sure to play around with each of these ideas and see how you can start using these content creation methods on your own site.
Disclosure: In full disclosure, it is safe to assume that the site owner is benefiting financially or otherwise from everything you click on, read, or look at while on my website. This is not to say that is the case with all content, as all publications on the site are original and written to provide value and references to our audience.
