Starting in 2020, Chess.com is starting its first-ever internship program for college students around the world. In our program, interns will have the opportunity to work alongside our project leads and learn first-hand how Chess.com is growing chess as an industry across a variety of disciplines. We’re looking for motivated individuals who can think outside the box and are quick to adapt to a remote work environment.
Current internship opportunities at Chess.com:
Data Science Internship
Numbers are the lifeblood of Chess.com’s Business Development and Events departments. Interns in this program will study user behavior and identify key on-site metrics using programs like Amplitude. Interns will also build predictive models for Chess.com’s premier event coverage for both online and over-the-board events.
Broadcast Production Internship
In 2019, Chess.com’s broadcasts reached over 435 million minutes viewed. Take your talent to the big screen and be a part of one of the fastest growing broadcast communities in Esports. Broadcast Production interns will produce shows for Chess.com, as well as curate video content for our YouTube audiences.
Graphic Design Internship
Have a passion for digital media? Our marketing team depends on its graphic designers to help promote the Chess.com brand. Graphic Design interns will have the opportunity to work with up-and-coming streamers and create assets for Chess.com’s marquee events.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Internship
As a top 500 website in the Alexa Rankings, Chess.com prides itself for its growth in SEO. Work alongside SEO specialists and learn about different content development strategies to help Chess.com grow organically through search. SEO interns will curate their own written articles and analyze content performance over time.
Events Management Internship
Ever wanted to manage an event on Chess.com? Our Events team is actively looking for new ventures to engage our 34 million users, and in this internship, you will get the opportunity to manage key aspects of our most anticipated events.
Content Editing Internship
You put the finishing touches on written news reports, articles and breaking stories that are seen by our 34 million members. You have a meticulous eye for detail and will get to work closely with top-level journalists and editors in developing your eye for editorial perfection.
