Want to give your Facebook cover a refresh?
While you can always use your own images, Facebook has recently added a new set of options of their stock backgrounds, including new videos to give your profile a more ‘alive’ feel.
As you can see in the above example (from The Next Web’s Matt Navarra), to update your profile background with the new video options, you click on the ‘Update Cover Photo’ option in the top left of the image, then choose ‘Select Artwork’. There’s a range of generic backgrounds to choose from, and several video options.
It’s a small update, but they do look pretty interesting, and they add something fresh to your Facebook presence.
Of course, another option to consider is 360 background images, which Facebook added back in August.
Those are also pretty impressive, and make use of your own, individual content, which may be more appealing.
No doubt Facebook will look to add more video options and cover tools if these new options prove popular, so it may be worth checking out their listings to stay updated.
