ELMHURST – The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry unveiled its newly redesigned, replatformed website Aug. 1, as part of a rebranding campaign that will lead into the chamber’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2018.
The chamber’s marketing committee and SMB Advantage Group, a chamber member, aided in the redevelopment of the website, which was first created in January 2000, according to a chamber news release.
The chamber’s new responsive website is built on a WordPress platform and will automatically adjust pages to fit the size, platform and orientation of the devices viewers use to access the information, the release stated.
Features of the new website include a quarterly banner photo with a text box overlap, which can be changed more frequently; six informational modules with content from the chamber and community news modules and other pages; easier access to the online membership directory via a smart search module; other specialized modules; and the chamber’s first photo library, the release stated. The website is now also better equipped for search engine optimization, the release stated.
The chamber’s marketing committee also developed a new logo and a centennial celebration logo in April with Korzenowski Design, a family-owned and operated chamber member, the release stated. The logo will be used for shirts for directors, ambassadors and staff; and membership decals, the release stated. The centennial logo is embroidered on new polo shirts for directors, ambassadors and staff, and heat sealed on new resident greeter totes currently on order, the release stated.
The new logo features a multi-colored leaf from an elm tree to the right of the organization’s name in two lines, with the top-line words of Elmhurst chamber in larger and bolder black font. The six elm leaf colors replicate its changing look during the seasons of one year, the release stated.
For 2018, a “Centennial Celebration/1918 – 2018” tagline will run under the chamber’s name in green, with the words in italic and the dates in bold, the release stated.
