Colorado-based ANGI Homeservices Inc. (Nasdaq: ANGI) has announced plans to sell the Angie’s List campus on the east side of Indianapolis. While specific details were not released, the company says it plans to relocate to a more centralized space in mid-2018.
ANGI Homeservices says it has about 1,000 employees on the more than 17-acre campus. The property includes 25 buildings, more than 190,000 square feet of space and nearly 1,000 parking spaces.
“We can confirm that the Angie’s List campus is up for sale and we are exploring relocation options in the Indianapolis area that better suit the businesses needs moving forward,” an Angie’s List spokesperson said.
The sale is being brokered by real estate firm JLL in Indianapolis. Senior Vice President Matt Waggonner says there is no asking price for the property. Instead, the firm will hold an open call for offers with bids being due November 3.
JLL touts some of the amenities of the campus, including a newly renovated cafe, new conference center, a fitness facility and a coffee/breakfast diner.
“The campus has generated a lot of interest and excitement given its proximity to downtown, the scale of the project, and the existing infrastructure and improved buildings that exist today,” Waggonner said in an email to Inside INdiana Business. “This campus boasts the type of buildings that are highly desired by companies – historic, unique character buildings with an updated, modern finish on the interior. The campus is unique in that it provides an opportunity to immediate occupancy and opportunities for future development. We anticipate a variety of buyers from entrepreneurs to corporate campus users to developers.”
The announcement comes less than a week after New York-based IAC (Nasdaq: IAC) officially closed on its acquisition of Angie’s List, merging the online home services provider with HomeAdvisor to create ANGI Homeservices.
