What a treat to return from WDSCamp and find a new coworker! Please help us welcome our newest WordPress Frontend Developer, Adam Soucie, to WebDevStudios (WDS).
Adam joins WDS after having established a career in sports communications, where he ran the team websites for the Orlando Predators and Orlando City Soccer Club. It was about five years ago that he discovered the world of WordPress, and he hasn’t looked back since. Adam is a member of the organizing team for WordPress Orlando and has helped put together several WordCamps along with the monthly meetup.
“I joined WDS to work with my best friend Jeff de Wit again,” says Adam. “We spent two years together at Highforge, a small Orlando agency. My time at Highforge was some of the most fun I’ve ever had working.”
When he’s not neck deep in WordPress and websites, Adam likes to cheer on his hometown Chicago sports teams, play video games, or spend time at the Orlando theme parks with his daughter.
“My favorite ride in Orlando has to be Big Thunder Mountain at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park,” Adam shares. “During a time that I was going back to school, I worked on the ride and made a ton of fun memories and learned a lot about customer service.” Let’s see… amusement park rides and customer service? It sounds like Adam is going to fit right in at WDS!
“In just my first day, I’ve been exposed to concepts and techniques I’d only heard about in the past,” Adam says. “I know that I’ll grow as a developer every day that I’m at WDS. I’m most looking forward to the opportunities to improve my skills as a developer.” We are, too.
