Following news of Joseph Gordon-Levitt appearing on a new drama series for Apple TV+, Variety has reported that Apple has recently acquired rights regarding a documentary from Hollywood celebrity Bryce Dallas Howard.
‘Dads’, the documentary is a light-hearted series about parenting in modern times. It’s set to debut on Monday at the Toronto Film Festival.
The documentary, produced by Ron Howard shows modern paternity as told by average dads and Hollywood notables Neil Patrick Harris, Jimmy Fallon and Will Smith.
The report shows that the show is set to appear on Apple TV+, with rumors of a theatrical run. The acquisition of ‘Dads’ is an agreement between Apple and Imagine Documentaries. The partnership between the two means that films made by Imagine Documentaries will be showing first on Apple TV+, which happened with ‘Dads’.
Apple TV+ is rumored to be launched in November, but pricing for the streaming service is yet unannounced. It will have at least five original shows when it comes out.
