Barclays down reports are surging at the moment with users of the online banking app reporting issues.
Independent outage monitor Down Detector has registered a surge of Barclays down reports today.
Out of those affected some 59 per cent are having issues with the Barclays mobile banking app while 37 per cent are having internet banking problems.
Barclays users have also reported getting an error 00002 message.
The Down Detector outage map says the Barclays down problems are mainly affecting users in the UK.
Down Detector is an independent outage monitor that detects when services go down by monitoring mentions on social media.
As the Barclays issues hit users took to social networking site Twitter to report issues with the online banking app.
One user tweeted: “@Barclays is the banking app down? Can’t access just get error code”.
Another posted: “@Barclays online banking is down”.
One added: “@Barclays is there a problem with your app. Keep getting error code 00002”.
And another wrote: “Hello @BarclaysUKHelp @Barclays what does error code 00002 mean on the Barclays app please”.
The official Barclays Status page says the mobile banking app is currently experiencing issues.
It says: “We’re sorry if you’re having trouble logging in to our Mobile Banking app – we’re working to fix this.”
