Everyone needs a good night’s sleep. If you find yourself tossing and turning, or waking up with cricks and pains, it may be time to change your pillow. Whether you need a soft or a firm pillow, or something in between, here are some of our favourites to choose from.
Which pillow do you need?
We had 14 testers try out these pillows for several months, both in our test lab and in the comfort of their own homes. The Leesa Pillow overwhelmingly became a favourite among both back and side sleepers. It has a unique softness that cradles your neck with responsive foam while giving firm support without being too hard. The outer layer is covered with an exceptional feeling material that is hypoallergenic and soft.
The Tempur Comfort is another favourite, especially with those who prefer a more firm pillow. It takes a few days to get used to, but testers reported it gave great neck and back support. One tester had neck and back injuries due to a severe car accident. The Tempur Cloud kept her neck and back straight while she slept, eliminating strain and pain in the morning.
Two expectant mothers tested the Bluestone Contour pregnancy pillow for us. Both loved how well the u-shaped pillow cradled their tummies, gave support to legs and back and applied pressure to relieve pain in just the right spots. Because of how flexible this pillow is, the new mothers found it helped give support after birth, too. A few of our non-expectant testers tried out the Bluestone Contour U pillow and reported that this is an excellent, all-the-time body pillow, also.
