H-2B WORKSHOP
The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce will present an H-2B seminar from 10 a.m. to noon at the chamber, 5 Patti Page Way, Centerville, to help employers navigate the visa process and prepare for 2018. Representatives from Tocci & Lee will review the basic process, explore regulations and review the 2017 season.

BREAKFAST MEETING
The Cape Cod Technology Council will hold its monthly First Friday breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at Hyannis Golf Club, 1840 Iyannough Road. The meeting is being held on the second Friday of the month because of the Labor Day holiday. The speaker will be Dale Shadbegian, principal and founder of 118Group Web Design & Digital Marketing, who will help attendees demystify search engine optimization and offer tips on how to help their websites show up in Google searches and maps.

MONTHLY MEETING
The Cape Cod Women’s Association will meet from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at DoubleTree by Hilton, 287 Iyannough Road (Route 28), Hyannis. The speaker will be Laura Kelley, a landscaper, water quality advocate and president of Protect Our Cape Cod Aquifer, who will share information on how to lessen the human impact on the Cape’s freshwater aquifer. Member spotlight will be Virginia Scharfenberg, horticulturalist and co-owner of Michael Talbot and Associates, who will talk about creating and caring for landscape. In addition to raffles toward the association’s scholarship fund, donations of school supplies will be accepted for various organizations around the Cape.

WORKSHOP
DexYP will hold a workshop, “Don’t Get Lost in the Cloud,” from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, 5 Patti Page Way, Centerville. The session is designed to help businesses learn how to compete in the digital marketing space.

VIDEO WORKSHOP
Dylan Steven, principal of Saddleback Solutions, a Cape-based web design and social media consulting firm, will hold a workshop, “Marketing Videos 101,” from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at CapeSpace, 100 Independence Drive, Hyannis. The workshop will cover the basics of writing an effective script, shooting a professional-looking video with a smartphone, editing a video using a free and simple web tool and uploading a video to YouTube and social media channels.
