Online applications are being accepted for the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce’s 2020 Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch list.

The annual initiative, a partnership with Augusta Magazine, recognizes rising professionals in the metro area between 25 and 35. Selected winners will receive a biographical feature article in the June 2020 edition of Augusta Magazine, submitted nominations to Georgia Trend magazine’s 2020 Top 40 under 40 and recognition and at the chamber’s June Member Economic Luncheon.

Applications must be completed online for consideration by March 6 at augustametrochamber.com/top10in10. A pre-application summary of questions and required information is available at the site.

The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce will hold its 69th Annual Meeting and Banquet, “Chamber In Focus: Seeing 20/20 in 2020,” on March 6 at the Crowne Plaza North Augusta.

Dress for the event, from 5:30-9 p.m., is semi-formal or business. The hotel is located at 1060 Center St.

The evening will include a cocktail hour, silent auction and dinner program as well as awards for Citizen of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Ambassador of the Year.

A Grow With Google marketing workshop has been scheduled as the next Third Thursday Business Builder on March 19.

Led by Grow With Google speaker and trainer Demming Bass, the marketing summit is customized for the businesses, marketers and nonprofits in Augusta wanting to learn more about search engine optimization and Google Ads.

The workshop begins at 11:30 a.m. at Sizemore Inc. at 2003 Gordon Highway. Attendance is complimentary for chamber members; $15 for prospective-members, with lunch provided. The first 50 registered attendees will get free Google swag and a $100 Google Ads Credit.

A panel discussion with three female entrepreneurs with downtown businesses will be the topic of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business luncheon March 17.

Panelists include Amanda Bryan of American Journeyman, Amy Donaldson of Augusta Candle Co. and Jennifer Tinsley of FIELD Botanicals. Panel moderator Kim Wilder, an attorney at Davis, Chapman & Wilder LLC.

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its Networking for Leads event March 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the chamber office at 1000 Business Blvd. in Evans.

Presented by BrandStorm Promotions, Networking for leads is sharing business leads and encourage business with each other in a fun setting. Lunch will be served and is free for members.

The Columbia County Career and College Expo will be held from 4-8 p.m. on March 10 at the Columbia County Exhibition Center at 212 Partnership Drive in Grovetown.

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s workforce and education Initiative invites middle and high school students to participate in the second annual event featuring representatives from higher education and the business sector.

The SCORE Aiken chapter has scheduled several free workshops for aspiring entrepreneurs through March.

Workshops include Branding, Marketing and Selling That Works on March 6 from 10 a.m. to noon at the North Augusta Community Center at 495 Brookside Ave.; Business Website Design on March 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Aiken Chamber of Commerce, 121 Richland Ave. E.; and Establishing a Non-Profit Organization will be held March 19 from 1-3 p.m. at the Columbia County Library at 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd.
