Apple gave the green light to produce a series called ‘Lisey’s Story’, based on Stephen King’s novel of the same title. Stephen King himself will be writing the show’s eight episodes and executive producing rights at the same time.
The series stars Hollywood actress Julianne Moore and Clive Owen, and Ben Stephenson and JJ Abrams as executive producers. Most people will recognize Clive Owen as he has appeared on ‘Sin City’, ‘Inside Man’, ‘Children of Men’ and more.
Lisey’s Story is a horror-slash-psychological thriller that focuses on Lisey, the wife of a dead novelist who start to remember things as she’s terrorized by a devoted fan. Moore plays Lisey while Owen plays Lisey’s husband.
Apple TV+ is set to launch November 1, with shows like Lisey’s Story making an exclusive appearance. The streaming service costs $4.99 per month, but there’s a free 7-day trial period for those who want to try it out.
