When Leader Community News and the Herald Sun put out a call for Melbourne’s cutest cat, we were paw-sitively overwhelmed.
There was no pussyfooting around as thousands of you sent us photos of your purr-fect pets.
We had cats in costume, kittens cosying up with their canine companions, cats hiding in bags and beds and a host of creative cat names — Mr Meowgi and Lady Luna Cleopatra Van Rubenstein, we’re looking at you.
There were plenty of sleeping cats, fluffy cats, not-so-fluffy cats, cats in party hats and bow ties, a cat-in-a-box and even a cat begging for a bath.
It was a tough job narrowing it down so we’ve pushed our original plan of a top 50 gallery of your furry friends to a top 80.
Without further meow-cking around (and we promise, no more terrible puns), here they are — Melbourne’s 80 cutest cats.
