The Geological Society has revealed the winners of the 2019 Earth Science Week photography competition, ‘Geoscience is for everyone’
This week it’s Earth Science Week – an annual international celebration of the geology all around us.
To kick things off, the Geological Society has revealed the winners of the 2019 Earth Science Week photography competition, ‘Geoscience is for everyone.’
The Geological Society writes: “The winning photographs showcase the rich diversity of environments in which our photographers, live, work, and travel.”
Ingrid Demaerschalk’s ‘Antarctic Reflections’ claimed the top spot, closely followed by Rob Storrar’s ‘Fresh Out The Box.’
All 12 winning images will now be printed in a 2020 calendar, and will also feature in a free exhibition at the Geological Society in London.
