We are looking for an experienced email marketing and loyalty expert who will build upon an integrated, brand marketing strategy to support our vision of being the most trusted e-commerce provider of floral products in the industry. Reporting directly to the Director of Email Marketing & Loyalty for FTD.com, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a more contemporary loyalty program that leverages email as a primary, but not sole, engagement channel with our brand fans. You have a unique opportunity to fill a critical role in the transformation of our company, and you must be passionate about the customer experience with our FTD.com brand.
You will partner cross-functionally with the Digital Marketing, Creative, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to managed through campaign targeting, segmentation, deployment, other CRM Strategies, optimize conversion, marketing messaging, and document campaign results.
To win in the role, you will:
- Develop strategies and implementation plans for lifecycle, triggered, and enhanced personalization using segmentation and predictive modeling for email and other consumer touch points
- Lead execution of email marketing plans, including calendar creation, programming, deployment, reporting, and optimization
- Create and manage email marketing budgets, build email marketing plans and goals to meet revenue and performance targets based on the forecast and trend analysis
- Help define the approach and strategy for the FTD loyalty program and lead activation across channels
- Relentlessly optimize with a “perpetual beta” mindset to drive continuous improvement; develop iterative test plans
- Brief creative teams based on content strategy and calendar that inspires, bring to life the brand voice, yet are adaptable given the opportunity to optimize with agility
- Leverage strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze CRM/email data and translate it into action
- Think beyond email to developing a broader approach for how FTD builds loyalty and leverages multiple CRM tools to provide continual engagement and reward for loyal brand fans
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization concisely and straightforwardly, sharing learnings that unearth key insights and clear actions
- Explore and identify new CRM tools, processes and capabilities to adopt in support of the vision for this function
- Be fun to work with and possess a no-nonsense approach to accountability and results
What you will need:
- Brains, ambition, energy, and passion; possess big thinking with a long-term horizon
- Direct execution experience with ESP and CRM software
- HTML experience ideal, modifying code is a plus
- Active project management and communication skills
- Analytical and quantitative; oriented towards making data-based decisions in a relentless manner
- Ability to build strong relationships across organization and external partners to make things happen
- 3+ years of email marketing experience for an e-commerce brand or digital agency, with in-depth knowledge of best practices including segmentation, A/B testing, batch, and lifecycle program development
- Working knowledge or experience with marketing automation and customer journey tools: ActiveCampaign, Braze, Exact Target, Marketo, Salesforce
- BA/BS Required; MBA preferred
- Willingness for occasional travel (less than 10%)
