Enfold Theme Review – ThemeForest

Time to learn about the famous Enfold theme in detail as I’m sharing a detailed review of the same. The product is available on ThemeForest platform and has managed to get over 121k sales in last four years. It’s also been one of the top used themes for new bloggers looking to create a professional blog of their own.

So, it’s not a new product and it’s definitely a popular one. Still, that doesn’t mean we should buy it without considering all the factors involved.

Let’s get into the details and see the good and bad sides of the product in question here.

Enfold Theme Review

Enfold is not the only product from the developers behind as they have about 19 different products available on the ThemeForest. They have been delivering quality services since 2008. So, the age factor attached with the product is really impressive.

Highlight Features

  • It packs 20+ live Demos which are easy to setup and are distinct from each other.
  • The product supports a built-in custom Drag & Drop page builder which seems powerful enough to support any possible visually stunning layout.
  • It supports third-party plugins including WooCommerce, WPML and many others.
  • The layout is using high-resolution graphics and supports Retina ready display units. The layout is responsive as well!
  • LayerSlider plugin is also onboard which can feature both 2D and 3D images.
  • Other useful integrations like MailChimp newsletter are also onboard which completes the overall website or blog.

Now, you might think that there are many other themes offering a similar set of features. But, just the number is not important. What’s important is that they all function in a proper harmony!

SEO and Performance

Proper use of typography, use of validated code behind, translation option, proper compatibility with SEO norms, and tonnes of small features which maintain user experience of a top-notch level. All these features add together to achieve an exceptional score when it comes to the SEO.

The same goes with the performance as the complete theme is coded in a way to consumer lesser resources. You can enable only the required modules, keeping rest of them off from the main website. It helps in achieving good performance result, which is important for both SEO and user experience.

The mobile friendly design is kept onboard which is also lightweight to achieve maximum user experience score. This particular score from the mobile platform is really crucial these days. As Google considers it as one of the ranking factors. You know why, right?

To get even better results, it’s advisable to use Yoast or any other known SEO plugin, yes, third-party, for even improved SEO score, and WP Rocket or W3 Total Cache to improve the performance further.

The theme is compatible to work with all known third-party plugins and there shouldn’t be any compatibility issues. If you find any, the official developers are always ready to come up with a dedicated support and sort it out.

Design

The Enfold theme comes with 25 pre-ready Demos which are one-click away from the setup. All these designs are ready for multiple niches like a blog, business, e-commerce, one-page (landing page), photography, portfolio, etc. They even have a Demo for quick setting up a Coming Soon page.

Most of the niches known to us fall under these aforementioned parent niches, which means that all those niches are already covered by Enfold.

Coming at the design, all these Demos look professional and modern. The layout in use is kept responsive and Retina display friendly to support all known smartphones and tablets, including the Apple manufactured ones.

I don’t know why but, there is an option to keep responsive feature turned OFF! I’ll advise you to keep it turn ON as most of the web traffic comes via smartphones only.

LayerSlider plugin is included which allows using both 3D and 2D images. It supports high-resolution pictures, matching with the high-resolution graphics of the primary theme.

Coming at the post formats, the theme supports even videos, pictures, and galleries. A custom skin is being used for these special post formats which are graphic rich.

If all these existing design options are not enough, then there is an option to use a Child theme. Yes, Enfold supports this concept where you can change the entire look by coding a custom Child Theme.

Inside the package, about 30 PSD files are also included.

Theme Options Panel

The developers have come up with a unique looking solution for Enfold theme, as the Options Panel is totally custom. In fact, they are using a custom Drag & Drop page builder instead of popular ones like Visual Composer or Cornerstone.

During my testing, the drag & drop page builder tool was looking really good and everything was smooth. I was able to create a custom web page without writing a single code. Gravity Forms plugin is also integrated using which one can quickly create a custom form to quickly gather user’s information.

All set of tools are listed at a single place like it should, and the interface is user-friendly. Proper labelling is done to help users quickly understand a new tool.

If it all feels too confusing, then it’s advisable to go through official documentation of the product. The developers have created a standard knowledge-base for the Enfold.

Over to You

This was the whole story behind the success of Enfold premium theme and, I guess the success is for good reason. I didn’t find any black doors during my testing, which means, the theme is good to go.

The primary question now is if to pick Enfold or any of its competitor? Because the other items among top-selling list at ThemeForest are equally worthy!
