Evolutions Media is partnering up with local chefs for Anthony Bourdain Day. Anthony Bourdain was a chef and writer who died a year ago on June 25th. Now, he will be celebrated each year on Bourdain Day, #Bourdain Day.

Now, Evolutions Media is partnering with local chefs to celebrate Bourdain Day, June 25th, 2019. It would have been Anthony Bourdain’s 63rd birthday. Sadly, the well-known chef and writer took his own life in France on June 8th last year.
Bourdain Day will be a celebration organized by his chef friends José Andrés and Eric Ripert, and this year Evolutions Media. The chef friends announced the party on Twitter.
Bourdain’s friend Ripert is a New York-based French chef who co-owns the Michelin three-star Le Bernardin and was traveling with Bourdain to France for Bourdain’s CNN TV series where sadly he passed away.
Andrés is a Washington-based Spanish chef with a variety of restaurants across the United States. He is known for his humanitarian work such as providing meals for people in places affected by natural disasters.
For Bourdain Day, the digital marketing agency and the chef friends encourage the fans of Anthony Bourdain to post their favorite memories and moments of Bourdain on social media and use the hashtag #BourdainDay.
Evolutions Media created a video for Twitter, with Ripert, one of Bourdain’s chef friends saying, “June is a significant month.” He also went on to say that everyone will be celebrating the birthday of Anthony Bourdain.
Those heartfelt words posted on social media are to encourage more people to join in and celebrate Bourdain Day. Also, the Culinary Institute of America, where Bourdain trained as a chef and graduated in 1978, announced the creation of an annual scholarship, to support chefs wishing to study abroad.
There was an outpouring of sadness from the culinary community around the world as they mourned the loss of one of the food’s most significant figures. Anthony, or Tony as he was also known, was a larger-than-life figure that was celebrated for the knowledge and genuine curiosity he showed while traveling abroad, filming a variety of television programs to highlight authentic cuisine from around the world.
Also, CNN published a book of photographs, ‘Anthony Bourdain Remembered,’ compiled from footage of his travels for Parts Unknown, with quotes and stories contributed by his friends, colleagues, and fans.
What is so uplifting about Bourdain Day is that, instead of mourning his passing, Evolutions Media, and his chefs Eric Ripert and José Andrés have decided to celebrate Anthony’s life by sharing memories of him and toasting his life. All three have encouraged Anthony’s fans to do the same by posting their memories of the chef online using the hashtag #BourdainDay.
