Joined a small US-based global nonprofit in June 2019 and recently got budget approved for a Sprout account. Doing some initial reporting on last year, I discovered that despite excellent engagement, our follower growth is nonexistent.

Admittedly, I have no insight into how legitimately/illegitimately the follower base has been built up, but I’ve been doing social for a decade and have NEVER seen this horrible rate of unlikes. Of course it could be a glitch in the metrics, but then I came across our audience country reach…
We have 2,000+ followers in India, but the company has little-to-no actual business impact in the country.
The question becomes: Does anyone know how to eliminate these likely fake followers? I’m afraid they’re skewing my reporting elsewhere. Appreciate any thoughts!
