Recently updated to iOS 13 and loaded up Fortnite? You may be in for a rude awakening.
iOS 13 contains a bug that rears its ugly head when iPhone owners use a three-finger tap or hold gesture anywhere on the screen, something that’s commonly used in first person shooters. It makes games like PUBG, Fortnite and others unplayable as it steals ‘touches’ in-game.
PUBG has warned players not to update to iOS 13 until a fix has been made and released. Text editing configuration is expected to be addressed in future updates.
Some apps are also affected, notably Apple apps like GarageBand when you try to play the virtual piano. Currently, there is no manual fix or disabling, and FPS gamers will have to wait until Tuesday for iOS 13.1 to be released. Apple will make the triple finger gesture available only in the right context, i.e., when there’s editable text in the said update.
