Gong Myung brought up his fellow 5URPRISE member Seo Kang Joon in a recent interview!
On January 21, Gong Myung participated in an interview to promote his upcoming film “Extreme Job” (literal title). In addition to answering questions about the film, the actor also talked about his relationship with the 5URPRISE members.
5URPRISE is an actor group formed by Fantagio Entertainment, and it includes Gong Myung, Seo Kang Joon, Yoo Il, Kang Tae Oh, and Lee Tae Hwan.
Gong Myung said, “I do not compare myself to other 5URPRISE members. While living together for four years, we became like brothers. We even had a gathering two days ago. We all wish the best for each other and cheer on one another.”
He continued, “When I talk about 5URPRISE, many people ask me if I’m jealous of Seo Kang Joon since he was successful from the beginning. It’s not like that at all.”
The actor concluded, “Seo Kang Joon doesn’t let it show. He also buys us food a lot. Even after he comes back home from a long and hard day, we still eat together, and he pays for the food. Because he treats us well, we don’t have those feelings [like jealousy] toward each other.”
“Extreme Job” tells the story of drug squad detectives who go undercover to round up a criminal organization and humorous happenings that occur when their fake chicken restaurant becomes a popular eatery. Gong Myung has taken on the role of Jae Hoon, the youngest team member who is full of enthusiasm. The film will premiere on January 23.
