The Drum Search Awards return for 2020 and celebrate the most effective search strategies and campaigns from the past 12 months.
Microsoft, GoCompare, Trainline, Yotel, Linkedin, Google, Vaunt, Deliveroo, MediaCom, Amara, Delete Agency and Foxtons will judge this year’s number of entries. With their knowledge and expertise, the jury will evaluate the most innovative, creative and effective search campaigns in both PPC and SEO.
The award period ends on Thursday, January 30th.
Below is a breakdown of the six jury members:
Microsoft
Adrian Cutler
Director, global agency
Cutler is a regular keynote speaker, judge and panelist at industry events such as Cannes, Adweek, SMX and DMexco. He is an ally and thought leader in terms of inclusion and what it can mean for marketing.
I look forward to judging these awards. The drum is THE place for what is happening in our industry and what is better than recognizing those who pave the way forward with innovative and strategic thinking. I am looking for those who double their excellence. You don’t just have to deal with shiny new things. Innovation can be achieved by providing the best search experience with real added value.
GoCompare
Steph Vickers
Head of SEO
Vickers takes care of the GoCompare SEO team. She has worked internally with agencies for over eight years. She has found her niche and is now specialized in SEO and UX content in FinTech and financial services companies.
I am really looking forward to seeing internal teams on projects that have achieved remarkable results. I would love to hear stories from a strong multidisciplinary team working to deliver results outside of the sometimes insular SEO stratosphere. Anything based on impeccable content – but not necessarily campaigns – and I’ll be very excited.
train line
Richard Keenan-Heard
Head of SEO
Keenan-Heard came to Trainline from GroupM agency Wavemaker three years ago, where he worked for brands like Calpol, Johnson’s Baby, Compeed and Michelin for several years before moving to global B2B customers such as GE Digital and GE Healthcare. With his technical and content background, Richard is very keen to help customers find the information they need quickly.
I will return to the jury for a second year. I am looking for participants who highlight the great use of data and the creative flair that have proven to have a business impact.
FluidOne
Dateme Tubotamuno
Digital Marketing Manager
Tubotamuno is a digital marketer, author and conference speaker. He is currently Digital Marketing Manager at FluidOne. He has run organic and paid media campaigns for clients in industries such as retail, e-commerce, professional services, automotive, telecommunications, waste management and travel.
We are in a results-oriented landscape, and clear goals and measurable results are expected for search engine marketing campaigns. I’m looking for campaign entries that use data, insights, and creativity to achieve these goals. A clear and explainable process of campaign implementation is valuable. These positive results should be based on causality and not just correlation.
Elizabeth Knights-Ward
Group marketing manager, content marketing, EMEA, LSMS
Knights-Ward leads the content and social team for LinkedIn sales and marketing solutions in EMEA. She brings a rich and innovative background in B2B and tech marketing and specializes in the creation of strategic content, social and event-based marketing.
These awards highlight the best of the best. Not only do they bring together some of the best talent in the industry to present unique strategies and campaigns, each category really sets the standard for future success. As a jury member, I can see first-hand the innovation that takes place every day. This gives me a unique opportunity to learn in this way. I look forward to the entries. A little tip: I’ll pay close attention to those who best pursue their goals and translate them into a solid, creative strategy that delivers results.
Clear

She is also a speaker for search engine marketing conferences on SEO, page speed and performance, and digital marketing.
I hope that we focus more on working with smart and effective technologies to provide smart search solutions that make a real difference to businesses. It would be great to see intelligent applications of APIs for cognitive services for more scenarios, whether for understanding natural language, recognizing moods, key phrases or named entities, or simply to help advertisers make smarter decisions faster.
Deliveroo
Byron Tassoni-Resch
Head of the SEM
Tassoni-Resch is the head of search engine marketing at Deliveroo and leads the team for all search, app, display and video campaigns. He has been in the industry for over 12 years. His main focus is on automating paid search on a large scale.
I’m really looking forward to reviewing the Drum Search Awards. The awards bring out the brightest and best in the industry. This year, I’ll be looking for companies that have used data and automation to solve unique challenges. Companies that have done this will definitely stand out from the crowd.
Amara
Alina Ghost
SEO manager
Ghost is an e-commerce digital marketing professional who has worked for Debenhams, Tesco and Carpetright. As a podcast presenter of SEO with Mrs Ghost, she certainly believes that SEO is not dead and interviews experts in her field to help her listeners increase website traffic and sales.
It’s not about having the biggest budget, it’s wise with the money you have! So I’m looking forward to good old search engine optimization having an impact on business goals, but innovation and unconventional thinking will no doubt attract my attention.
Make sure you submit your great campaigns before Thursday, January 30th.
