Google Pay Now Supports Pixel 4 Facial Recognition for Sending Money – Droid Life

For anyone with a Pixel 4 who uses Google Pay to send money to other users, you’ll be happy to learn that Google updated the Google Pay app this week to support the device’ s facial recognition capabilities.

Unlike when using Google Pay inside a store to make a purchase, when using it to send money, you need to provide a form of authentication. This was usually just a fingerprint. Now, though, you can use your face on the Pixel 4. Yay, the Pixel 4’s facial recognition is becoming useful!

We’ll be sure to update you when/if any big banks actually implement Google’s new biometrics API into their apps.
