Here’s a first look at Google’s next laptop, the Pixelbook Go. This prototype features a keyboard similar to its predecessor, USB-C ports on each side, and a single 3.5mm headphone jack to the left. As you’ll see in the hands-on demonstration, the front-facing speakers are not what you’d expect from a budget-priced laptop and would compete with some of the higher-end offerings. Other features include a 13.3-inch 1080p / 4K display, an Intel Core m3 / i5 / i7 CPU, 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage at the high end, and a built-in Titan C security chip. It’s clear that this unit is a prototype as the Google logo has been swapped out for a placeholder, and “ProductName” is listed above the keyboard. As for pricing and availability, you’ll have to wait until the official Google hardware event on October 15th.
