This was a super busy week starting with a possible Google search algorithm update over the weekend. Google also admitted they lost 16-days worth of data within Google Search Console, which was related to the indexing bug – Google’s backlink report is still not up to date. Google’s manual actions disappeared only to come back a day later. Google Search Console also added three new reports. Google Ads and AdSense and other tools are currently having big reporting issues. Google said they are not buggier than usual. Google is still on track for the mobile-first indexing releases. Google said if you are not sure if a link is hurting you, it probably isn’t hurting you and not helping you either. Google My Business is exporting charting monthly fees for the service. Google My Business POI Establishment was kind of fixed. Google said they do not provide SEO support for business relationships. Google is testing collage based image carousel snippets. Bing Ads is now known as Microsoft Advertising. A XSS Googlebot exploit is an issue five months after it was reported. Google is launching an SEO myth busting video series, and the trailer looks amazing. Did you see the Thanos Google easter egg, if not, it might be hard to spot. Google had a featured snippet issue with legs this week. Eric Schmidt has stepped down from Google after 18 years of service. Google Search Console has an awesome Star Wars mode for May 4th.
