Great, Now We Know Everything About the Pixel 4’s Camera Features – Droid Life

If you were hoping Google had the Pixel 4 under lock and key until it was unveiled this year, this has probably been a tough week for you.

The phone is out and about in the hands of YouTubers, and as of this morning, the Pixel 4’s Google Camera app has been shared with XDA, with the good folks over there sharing all of the details and covering what’s new inside.

According to screenshots and code dives from XDA, the modes found on the Pixel 4 include Motion Blur (which we’ve covered here), an improved Night Sight (again, which we’ve covered here), plus background improvements like Live HDR, Audio Zoom support, and DDF support (dynamic depth format).

For most of you, you’re probably most interested in this improved Night Sight. According to code spotted, Night Sight should be much faster, and for fans of starry pictures, it appears Google will utilize Qualcomm’s Adreno 640 GPU to its full extent, having software intelligently recognize stars and automatically brightening them inside of a Night Sight shot. It’s also noted that tripod detection is improved, which is great for Night Sight.
