Getting more blog post ideas seems like a daunting task.
If you always seem to run into writer’s block, finding a post idea is like trying to find a fire hose in the Sahara Desert.
Follow a few simple tips to get more blog post ideas consistently without straining or striving in the process.
Heighten Your Powers of Observation
Being an observer causes an awakening.
You will find more blog post ideas easily the split second you heighten your powers of observation.
A few minutes prior to writing this post I observed a Quora post I read earlier in the day.
Instantly, the Quora question sprung an idea seed which turned into this post. Easy peasy.
When you observe, by expanding your awareness, you will become so prolific that other bloggers will shake their heads at your creative, almost machine-like nature.
Few folks will write and publish 10 guest posts in their career.
I have written and published 346 guest posts on Blogging Tips alone.
Why?
I am not especially talented or even driven, honestly.
I am aware of blogging problems and simply solve problems through a high volume of posts intended to be helpful, uplifting and practical in nature.
Feel Compassion
Feel compassion for readers.
Feel compassion for other human beings.
A goldmine of blog post ideas sits within a cocoon of compassion.
Stop fighting, debating, resisting or flat out mocking people who struggle online.
No good comes out of going against someone but only good comes out of compassion, loving-kindness and empathy.
Example; if I compassionately feel a reader’s intense struggles with boosting their blogging profits I can tune into 2, 3 or even 5 blog post ideas which could help ease their pain.
You can appear to be on prolific blogging steroids when you develop a strong sense of compassion for your readers, by pinpointing their problems, by feeling their pain and by offering a relieving solution to their woes.
Be compassionate. Connect with an unending stream of blog post ideas to help your readership.
Fire It Up!
Once in a while we are all due a good rant.
I flip a little bit, here and there.
Other times I may pull back but still let folks have it, a wee bit.
No need to be highly confrontational.
Be willing to speak your mind.
A fabulous blog post idea awaits inside a carefully thought through, effectively solved rant that hamstrings readers in your community.
Example; you could write a rant-style post railing against blogging spam with the requisite solutions to help offenders keep themselves out of the spam folder.
Know Not Just Where to Look but What to Look for
Know where to look for blog post ideas.
Search spots like:
- Quora
- Facebook Groups
- Twitter (hashtag searches)
- G Plus Communities
- Blog comments
- Forums
But know what to look for too.
If I search somewhere, I am looking for something.
You need to know the something you are looking for to find it, right?
Look for pain points, or problems. See what your readers suffer from.
My blogging tips readers seem to have traffic and blogging profits issues regularly, struggling to generate an increasing amount of both blog traffic and blogging income.
I spot the pain points in the aforementioned spots because I have trained myself to see these issues.
Commit Fully to Becoming a Prolific Blogger
Looking for blog post ideas is futile if you carry a weak, lilly-livered, sad-sack intent.
Example; if I claimed to be hungry to publish blog posts regularly yet set an intent to write and publish a post every 1-2 months I obviously would not hurry to find ideas.
Be bold.
Be prolific.
Set an intent to publish a high volume of quality content.
Doing so programs you to become an idea seeker, because when you are hungry to be prolific you set everything else into motion.
