How to Rid Your Mind of Negative Blogging Influences

Blogging is hard.

Blogging is tough.

You never did something so hard as blogging.

Why is blogging so difficult?

If these thoughts dance around in your head, welcome to the club. Every blogger thought these ideas at one time or another. But successful bloggers kick these thoughts out of their minds fast because as you think and feel, you will be. Negative energy leads to negative results. Positive energy leads to positive results. How you feel colors your actions which colors your results.

Failing bloggers usually surround themselves with negative-thinking bloggers because doing so feels comfortable. Or failing bloggers go lone wolf, listening to their own negative thoughts and feelings all day long.

Kick negative vibes out of your mind. Replace with positive ideas. See positive results.

Follow these tips.

Follow an Energy Management Ritual

For 5 minutes on waking, I engaged in deep breathing. Breathing deeply makes you aware of your thoughts and feelings. I observed a few thoughts and feelings with both positive and negative undertones; what I would write about today, checking one of my passive income streams and fearing it may not hit a certain threshold and how I’d enjoy my cup of coffee. Thoughts arose, and passed. Like everything, change is the only constant.

Follow an energy management ritual to become aware of negative feelings, to feel and release these energies. Most bloggers fight or bury fears. Said fears grow in their being, influencing them to struggle and fail. But you will meditate, do deep yin yoga, exercise and follow deep breathing to face, feel and release energies and to succeed.

Never Watch the News

I mistakenly spent 30 seconds following a news story on Twitter. But I quickly observed how the negative headline made me feel: terrible. I moved on, felt better and wrote this post.

Never watch the news. 99.99% of the time the news is negative and designed to scare you. 99.99% of the time, the news does not affect you, nor can you do anything about it. Knowing it is negative and you can do nothing about it, stop watching it.

The only news genuinely affecting your life would be news of a natural disaster like a hurricane or tsunami closing in on your home or perhaps a missile barreling down on your home city. But in either case, neighbors will tell you about these life threatening events.

Stop watching the news today. Feel good about life and blogging. As Gary Gnu said; no g-news is good g-news.

Surrender

My friend Erika published my guest post on surrender:

Surrender Bloggers

Surrender does not mean giving up or quitting. Surrender means opening up and feeling any emotions you have buried or resisted, especially negative emotions, to move ’em along and to surrender to what feels fun, to you. Once you genuinely feel negative energies, the fear vanishes, you feel better and you move into fun, easy, relaxed, success-producing blogging actions. You become a slave to fun which feels really good, relaxing and chill, and which makes you incredibly successful over the long haul.

Many bloggers struggle because they fight, resist and bury negative, fear-colored feelings. Fear grows, colors blogging and struggles continue until the bloggers surrender to their deep fears, feel the fears and move on from a relaxed, calm, abundant energy.

I felt terrified to guest post on this blog the first time 3 years ago. Zac almost had to beg me to get me going, before I accepted his generous invite. Why? I feared failing, being criticized and being rejected, and resisted, buried and fought those fears, which grew the fears and delayed me writing the first freaking post.

Feeling the fears and discomfort, surrendering to the energies, I quickly felt better, wrote my first post and 800 posts later, here I am.

Surrender to the feeling of fear. Feel it. But do not act on it. Let it go. Succeed.
