Kate Middleton was reportedly a good baby and her mom, Carole Middleton, was a natural mother.
The Duchess of Cambridge is very close to her mother. In fact, she can turn to Carole anytime about anything, especially when it comes to her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Marcia Moody wrote in her book, “Kate: The Biography,” that Middleton was born in the coldest month ever on record for Berkshire. The royal author also gave a glimpse of what Middleton was like a baby and Carole as a mom.
“Carole was a natural mother, quickly establishing a routine with regular eating and sleeping times,” Moody wrote.
The biographer added that Carole made friends easily with like-minded moms. Among those she became close with was George Brown, who gave birth to her own daughter Nicola just four days after Carole delivered Middleton.
“Carole and I would take the girls out for walks together and have a coffee and there was never much crying,” Brown recalled. “Catherine was a good baby.”
Carole was the one who convinced Brown to celebrate her children’s birthday. Brown confessed that she wasn’t going to throw a party for her youngest, who was turning 1 year old, but Carole marked the milestone and brought Middleton over to celebrate it with hats and cake. That was even before Middleton’s parents started their business, Party Pieces.
According to Katie Nicholl in her 2013 book “Kate: The Future Queen,” Carole gave up her career for her family. She had always wanted to be a flight attendant, but when she got pregnant with Middleton, she decided to quit her job and be a full-time mom.
Carole knew that “globe-trotting, working shifts, and spending days and night abroad were not conducive to raising a family.” Middleton’s mom seemed to make the right decision because she took motherhood “amazingly.”
In related news, just recently, some of Carole’s employees revealed that she’s difficult to work with due to her “high-handed” management style. She reportedly sent one employee 71 emails one day and would occasionally click her fingers to get someone’s attention when under pressure which was irritating. Carole is also reportedly strict with their working hours.
Also, Middleton’s mom just fired half of their company’s staff a few weeks back. Among those who lost their jobs were the company’s web designer, PR agent and search engine optimization wizard.
