A new family variety show is headed our way!
On May 28, KBS confirmed news about “There’s A Country For A Child” (literal title) which will premiere on July 5 as the follow-up to “Art of Conversation” (literal title).
“There’s A Country For A Child” will chronicle Kim Gura, Kim Min Jong, and Seo Jang Hoon‘s days as they drop off and pick up kids from school in place of parents who aren’t able to do so. Because celebrities won’t be taking care of their own kids but those of other families, this show will be different from KBS’s current show “The Return of Superman.”
Kim Gura and Seo Jang Hoon are divorced, single men and Kim Min Jong is a bachelor. Out of these three men, Kim Gura is the only person who has experience taking care of children. The obstacles that each man will face while taking care of children will be a main point to watch on this show.
The program also aims to reveal the reality of childcare by showing who’s taking care of children and how and where they’re growing up. Families with various honest stories about their own ways of raising children will appear on the show including a working mom, a mom on maternity leave, a dad who has taken on the role of homemaker, and a grandma and grandpa who take turns watching the children.
“There’s A Country For A Child” will be directed by Won Seung Yeon of “Music Bank,” “Cool Kiz on the Block,” and “Human Condition.”
