I look forward to working with Lee to create more high-quality treatment options for patients and their families, clinical referral sources, and payors across the country in the rapidly changing behavioral health environment.

Jim Dredge, CEO of Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, has announced that Lee Pepper has joined the company in the dual role of Chief Information Office and Chief Creative Officer. Pepper’s responsibilities as Meadows Behavioral Healthcare CIO/CCO will include leading the Meadow’s Digital Marketing and IT teams.
Pepper has 25+ years of progressively responsible leadership in digital marketing and information technology in healthcare companies, but he began his career working for Ross Perot’s presidential campaign. This led to a position with Perot’s IT services company, Perot Systems, where he spent 10 years before moving to Nashville and joining digital music startup PassAlong Networks. Pepper then joined Foundations Recovery Network (FRN) in 2008 as their Chief Information Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. During his tenure, he moved FRN from traditional advertising campaigns to a search engine optimization, search engine marketing and social media strategy. This paradigm shift transformed FRN into an industry leader within behavioral healthcare. Pepper was known for growing the highly successful Foundations Events conference series, creating the Heroes In Recovery social movement, the Recovery Unscripted podcast and launching numerous new facility brands, including Black Bear Lodge, The Oaks at La Paloma, and Skywood. Following FRN’s successful sale to United Health Services, Pepper joined Kohlberg-backed SpecialtyCare, an operating room services company based in Nashville, Tennessee. Pepper also spent eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves, completing Air Assault School and Officer Candidate School, finishing his service as an armor officer.
“Lee has proven himself to be a tremendous entrepreneur and organizational leader in a variety of settings. He brings with him a remarkable set of skills and experiences that I believe will benefit Meadows Behavioral Healthcare as we continue to evolve our programs for treating addiction and other behavioral health disorders,” Dredge said. “I look forward to working with Lee to create more high-quality treatment options for patients and their families, clinical referral sources, and payors across the country in the rapidly changing behavioral health environment.”
Pepper shared, “I am proud to have connected with Jim Dredge and The Meadows team. I cannot think of another set of programs that are as highly regarded as The Meadows. I am honored to build a team to support the professionals that have dedicated their careers to saving the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our society.”
