I didn’t calibrate the 88Z9’s HDR mode, but I did measure it. Here we can see that, without compensating for OLED’s luminance error at high brightness, the grayscale is increasingly deficient in blue with an overabundance of red. Adjusting for the luminance error, the grayscale is close to perfect. Notice that the EOTF and Luminance curves follow the targets very closely all the way up to the set’s maximum luminance, where they sharply flatten out.
