If your company is subscribed to Google Maps, it will allow you to be the first in an organic search when someone sees a term related to what you are doing and what you earn from. For this reason, it’s important to be in Google Maps listing companies and optimize this part of online marketing. In this text, I will explain how to sign up for Google Maps, optimize business registration, set up Google Maps Citations and get Google Plus to make sense.
Google My Business Setup
Sign in to Google My Business. You can sign up with an existing Gmail account or open a new one.
Here you need to enter company data: company name, country, street and postal code, city, company phone, the category to which your company belongs and the address of your site.
Keep in mind that nothing will appear in the listing until you perform the verification. Make sure you do it as soon as possible to continue editing. When you receive a letter, find a five-digit PIN, sign in to Google My Business, and go to Not Published Locations> Manage Location, click Verify Now, and enter the five-digit PIN number.
Optimizing Maps Listing
Keep in mind that you will not be able to find the first three places in Google Search right away, but with these instructions, you can reach the top within a few months, and follow the instructions carefully
Fill in all information boxes that Google requires:
This is important. Google will set up a number of questions that are essential for optimizing optimization. If you answer 5 out of 10 questions, and your competition answers 9 out of 10, that means they will be in front of you.
First, fill out the following:
-
Pictures: Profile, Interior, Exterior, At Work, Team, Identity
-
Working hours
-
Web site
The pictures are best to call them by what’s on them. For example, if you run a flowerpot and you have a bouquet of roses in the profile picture, call the image file bouquet-of-roses.png (or .jpeg, .gif depending on the file format). If you place a picture where everyone who works in the flower is visible, give name file our-team.png.
Business Listings for Google Maps
Business listings are sites that confirm what is written on your Google My Business account. Look at this: The more sites you confirm your data, the more likely your data is to be correct.
You need to sign in and fill out all forms in the following lists:
-
Google My Business (Google Maps)
-
Bing Places (Bing Maps)
-
Yelp
-
Angie’s List
-
Four Square
-
Hot Frog
-
EZLocal
-
Sacramentobusinesslist.com
-
Sacramentocountybizlist.com
-
Yellow-pages
Google Maps Citations
This will not hear much talk; many people are not sure what Google Maps quotations are. However, there is confirmation that this is definitely a factor that influences the ranking. This is the literal link/pin/ bookmark for your profile on the map and you can create it at google.com/maps
Each created folder has a Title, Description, and Address (Title, Description, Address). These are stored pins – bookmarks that you can share with friends, colleagues or anyone else. To create a new folder, click on the three lines in the corner of the screen and select the Create new map option.
Create a Google+ Business account
Sign in to the Gmail account with which you created and verified your Google My Business profile. Click on the circle with your avatar and find the name of your company in the menu that opens.
Click on the name of the company, and then on the Enable Google+ option. If your business name does not appear immediately, click on “All your Brand Accounts” to find the correct profile.
Fill in all on the Business Google+ profile
As it is done for Google My Business, all fields must be filled in here. Do not leave blank fields, so first, fill out the following:
-
Profile Picture – profile picture, avatar
-
Background Picture – background image
-
Tagline – use all 140 characters, use the keywords and names of your services
Add content and links to the About Me section
Profile> Edit Profile> Manage Page – Describe your job here in 200-500 words. Here you can also set up links that lead to pages on your site where visitors can find the services you provide.
Write a Post and create a collection (Add a Collection)
-
Make a Collection (Create Collection)
-
Write Post
-
Follow and make sure to keep track of as many people as possible
This is enough for a good start
If you do everything I wrote in this text, it will be enough to start a good shift in online marketing when it comes to Google Maps, Google My Business, and Google + Business. You must base your further work on maintaining profiles, replenishing posts, trackers and interacting with other profiles. All this does not take a lot of time, it’s useful because you’ll be among the first on Google and it’s free.
