Mandy Harvey delivered with the final performance of the night on America’s Got Talent as the judges got emotional during their praise of her singing and playing.
Simon Cowell said that he should not have worn his emotions. Simon said that you are and will make a difference. He called it stunning. Heidi Klum loved how raw and real and honest that was. She said it was so powerful as Simon was chiming in with beautiful.
Mel B said that Mandy made the impossible possible. She said that Mandy is so beautiful when she sings. Howie Mandel said that he does not know the purpose of music. He said that maybe because of what her story is that Mandy makes the audience feel something.
Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer stunned viewers with Mandy Harvey’s first audition on “America’s Got Talent.” Harvey is a singer, songwriter and motivational speaker who began singing at the age of four. As a vocal music education major at Colorado State University, Harvey lost her residual hearing at 18 years old due to a connective tissue disorder that affected her nerves.
Harvey left her music program and pursued several career options, including education, but returned to music, her true passion, in 2008. She quickly became a regular performer at various venues and has released three albums thus far. Though her hearing loss is profound, her timing and pitch are perfect and her passion is tremendous. With support from friends, family and faith, Harvey continues to find joy in music.
