For her American Idol audition, Mylon Shamble sang a rendition of “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King in front of Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. The judges aren’t sure about her song choice at first but once she starts singing, they’re thrilled and send her and her awesome voice to Hollywood.
The 25-year-old has lived locally since fifth grade, except for attending Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton after graduating from Lakewood Ranch High School. She moved back after college and works at Modern Gents, a barbershop with a craft beer and wine bar in University Park.
