Accounting
Duckett Ladd LLP added Zach Hoskins as an adviser and marketing director. Hoskins also runs the Client Experience Architect podcast, which he’ll continue at Duckett Ladd, covering how businesses craft unique experiences for their clients.

Banking and Finance
Piatchek & Associates added Shawn Gallagher as services director. After working in banking and teaching personal finance in Springfield Public Schools, Gallagher manages client retirement analyses and investment account administration for the financial planning firm.

Guaranty Bank hired Daniel Williams as vice president and financial manager of the accounting department. He oversees the bank’s cash management, liquidity and investment activities, regulatory reporting requirements and internal control compliance relating to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Williams rejoins the bank after working as a teller, 1999-2003.

Central Bank of the Ozarks added Kara Greer as retail officer and banking center manager at the North Kansas Expressway branch. Greer has 10 years of branch management experience.

Education
Alumni and supporters of Drury and Southwest Baptist universities raised more than $265,000 in the fifth annual Catfight Giving Challenge, a basketball fundraiser. The money goes toward the Annual Drury Experience Fund, an effort to raise $1.6 million in scholarships and financial aid for students with limited financial resources. The fundraiser has raised $615,000 since inception.

Evangel University honored Dr. Milta Little with the 2018 Outstanding Alumnus award from the department of natural and applied sciences. A 2002 graduate, Little currently serves as an associate professor of geriatric medicine and the director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program at Saint Louis University Medical Center. She serves on the Missouri Association of Long-Term Care Providers editorial board and has served as president and board member of the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine.

Environmental
The Branson Convention Center Inc.
won the Outstanding Achievement award from the Missouri Recycling Association for its sustainability and recycling. The center achieved 48 percent waste diversion in 2017 through its S3 Serious Sustainable Synergy Team and diverted 83 tons of solid waste from landfills. Energy use has dropped 15 percent at the center in three years through employee initiatives. The center also has an on-site vegetable and herb garden, compost facility and a landscaped garden.

Marketing
ADsmith Marketing and Advertising hired Erin Roberts as digital media coordinator. She handles social media duties and work with the digital department on search engine optimization and search engine marketing for clients. Roberts earned a bachelor’s in marketing, MBA and a graduate certificate in leadership from Missouri State University. She has previous experience as a freelance copywriter.

Nonprofit
Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southwest Missouri added eight volunteers: Casey Groose, Christen Lucas, Diane Jewell, James Blackburn, Jonathan Carter, Philip Herzog, Rebecca Weber and Sheryl Holle. CASA volunteers go through 30 hours of training and three hours of court observation before being assigned to an abuse or neglect case by judges.
