Amidst Apple’s grand launch of new iPhones and services, Oppo, the Chinese OEM has unveiled two refreshed variants of A9 and A5 models. While these aren’t being Pro, but have fine capabilities that are much needed to compete with others.
Specifications of A9 2020 & A5 2020:
The A9 (2020) has 6.5″ water drop notched display with quad cameras of 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP and 16MP front camera.
Whereas, the A5 (2020) has quad rear cameras 12MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP and an 8MP front camera.
With facial recognition, fingerprint sensors and other connectivity features, these phones will run on Color OS 6.0.1 over Android’s 9 Pie.
With 5000mAh batteries and Snapdragon’s 665 SoC, these phones are worth considering under Rs.20,000.

Price and Availability:
The A9 (2020) is available in two colors of Marine Green and Space Purple. The prices are:
- 4GB/128GB is for Rs.16,990
- 8GB/128GB is for Rs.19,990.
On the other hand, the A5 (2020) is available in Dazzling White and Mirror Black. And these are priced as:
- 3GB/64GB is for Rs.12,490
- 4GB/64GB is for Rs.13,990.
Both these will be sold via Amazon from September 16th onwards and hitting offline stores from September 19th onwards. There is launch offers given in terms of additional data by tying up with telecom operators.
