Accreditations/Certifications

Mindy Entrup, a physical therapist for Blessing Home Care, has earned certification as a tai chi instructor from the Tai Chi Health Institute. She plans to incorporate tai chi in her treatment plan for all patients to enhance balance, coordination, and mindfulness with movement to reduce the risk of falling. Entrup has worked for Blessing Home Care for seven years. She has a master’s degree in physical therapy from St. Louis University.

Activities

Megan Duesterhaus Quanada’s executive director, and Laura Sievert, Arts Quincy’s executive director, were chosen to attend the TEDWomen 2018 conference in Palm Springs, Calif. Both women received scholarships from TED and funding from the Tracy Family Foundation’s Next Generation Grants program. TEDWomen brings together a global community of people interested in exploring how change begins.

Appointments

J D Knox Farms of Ursa is a new member of the American Angus Association. The association, headquartered in St. Joseph, Mo., has more than 25,000 active adult and junior members and is the largest beef breed association in the world. Its computerized records include detailed information on over 18 million registered Angus.

Lisa Novinger, a WordPress designer, has joined Vervocity Interactive. She has been a search engine optimization specialist, graphics producer, and a graphic and web designer. Novinger has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Missouri Western State University and a certificate in digital desktop publishing from the Kansas City Art Institute.

Natalie McCulloch of Quincy has joined Little Jess Motor Co. as a certified sales professional. She has over 10 years of sales experience and has received numerous sales awards, as well as an extensive list of automotive training certifications.

Honors

Leigh Ann Gordon, a certified medical assistant at Quincy Medical Group, has been honored with the group’s Experience the Difference Award. Recipients of the award go above and beyond for their patients and co-workers. She was nominated by Tena Jones.
