Appointments

Officers of the Western Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers were elected May 30 in Quincy. Jeff Steinkamp of Steinkamp Engineering in Quincy was elected president; Dan Oliver of Klingner & Associates P.C. in Quincy, vice president; William Klingner of Klingner & Associates in Quincy, secretary; Steve Bange of the city of Quincy engineering department, treasurer; and Terry Johnson of Knapheide Manufacturing Co. of Quincy, chapter representative.

Dimple Patel has joined RiverCity Real Estate Group Inc. as a broker. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors and Quincy Association of Realtors. She will be serving residential clients with a focus on physician relocation.

Sarah Vahlkamp has joined Vervocity Interactive as an SEO (search engine optimization) specialist. Her primary goal is to increase and track online brand visibility while increasing website traffic and sales. She previously worked at Sit Tight and Sleep Tight as a saleswoman and social media promoter. She has a bachelor’s degree and a master of arts in communication degree, both from Quincy University.

Honors

Lincoln Lieber of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Quincy recently was given the firm’s Edward Jones Sr. Founders Award for his exceptional achievement in building client relationships. Lieber was one of 2,127 of the firm’s 18,000 financial advisors to receive the award.

Chaka Jordan, vice president of marketing and planning for Blessing Health System, received a 2019 National Marketer of the Year award in the Midwest Class in the 2019 Hospital Marketing National Advertising Awards competition.

In addition, Blessing Health System received a Silver award for best digital/social media campaign in the same competition.

Blessing received three awards in the 2019 Healthcare Advertising Awards, sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report, including a Gold for is magazine advertisement for the Blessing Breast Center’s 3D mammography technology; a Silver for its digital marketing program for the Blessing mobile app that allows for mobile check-in at Blessing Convenient Care locations in Quincy and Canton, Mo.; a Merit award for its direct mail campaign for smoking cessation services.

In the 2019 Aster Award competition, sponsored by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine and Creative Images Inc., the Blessing mobile app campaign received a Silver award; and the smoking cessation campaign and fall/winter 2018 Personal Blessing community magazine each received Bronze awards.
