Pinterest has published a new guide to help brands ensure they make the most of their Pin campaigns by launching them at just the right time – which, according to Pinterest, is often earlier than they would on other platforms:
“Whether they’re hosting a holiday party or just trying to spice up summer, people depend on Pinterest for the best ideas. They start using Pinterest up to two times earlier than other platforms – so it’s best to get your seasonal content up early, too.”
Their new planning guide includes a range of key stats on Pinterest use and how to best reach the platform’s 200 million users.
But the key feature is the planning calendar, which details exactly when interest starts rising for each major event, ensuring you can optimize your campaigns in line with such trends.
As explained by Pinterest:
“Our new Possibilities Planner is your cheat sheet to seasonal moments on Pinterest. It tells you when people start planning for each moment, and what matters most at that point in time. You’ll find pages for major moments like Christmas, Back to School and Spring Break. For each moment, we’ve listed out audience reach, top keywords and creative ideas.”
Indeed, the guide also includes specific detail on each major event, with Pin volume and ideas, along with the most searched terms.
The final section of the guide also includes a listing of the top trends which have gained momentum on the platform over the past year, highlighting the key search shifts within the app.
It’s an interesting guide, worth checking out for any brand looking to maximize their use of Pinterest and/or tap into the latest relevant trends. While it doesn’t get as much attention as other platforms, Pinterest’s influence is growing, and for many that do use it regularly, it’s become an essential companion in the purchase process.
